so what does this mean and how do i fix it..
its a sudden problem
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'blah.blah.net', Server:
'blah.blah.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

my other computers on the network have no problem geting email with outlook
just my xp system all the sudden

Open your OE go to Tools>Accounts>click the Mail Tab>Highlight your mail
account click Properties>click the Advanced tab>make sure you outgoing port
is set to 25, make sure your incoming mail port is 110, do not put a check
in the boxes to require a secure connection.

thats how it curreutntly set and how it was set when it worked
it just. stopped working about a week ago
using another email client such a eudora results in the same problem
but other computers onmy network have no problem getting mail

I know this almost a month later, but if you are using XP this comman
usually fix the problem:
goto command prompt (type "cmd" in RUN) and type "netsh int ip rese
1.txt" and after you issue this command, restart the pc. This comman
is used to flush the tcp/ip stack and will usually work when havin
that error msg in OE. If you are not using xp u can do this b
unchecking and re-checking TCP/IP in network properties. Good luck
