Outlook Express freezes at start up

when I click on the short cut to get to outlook ex it starts to run and is
sending a message from the outbox. Then the whole thing freezes and I can do
anything in the system until use Cont Alt Del. I have tried to search for
the outlook: outbox to delete it but it does not show up on the search. any
one who can help it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Search for *.dbx
Make sure hidden files is selected in the search just in case.
