Outlook Express disappeared

For no apparent reason outlook express disappeared from
my desk top. It is not in programs any more. The
individual files are here but no exe. file. The address
book is here. Can anyone tell me what might have
happened and what must I do now?
 
1. Right-click on your Desktop and select: New > Shortcut
2. Type in: C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe
3. Click next and name the shortcut "Outlook Express".
4. Click 'Finish".
