Outlook Express dail up

I have just connected with broadband and I can't get OE to use the broadband connection. It wants to make a dial up connection even though I've run setup wizard for a broadband connection and made it a default. I'm running XP home edition.

IE > Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Never dial a connection
