Outlook Express Backed-up msgs

Had to reformat. Reinstalled OE then copied backed-up dbx
msgs to C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{xxx}
\Microsoft\Outlook Express. Now OE will not run - error
in opening OE's message store. Then msoe.dll will not
initialize. How am I to get these backed-up msgs?
