outlook express attachments

I have just downloaded the critical updates for XP. Now
my outlook express will not allow me to open attachments.
A line pops up saying that OE has removed an unsafe
attachment. What can I do to be able to open attachments
in OE.

Outlook Express:
Open Outlook Express.
Click Tools, click Options, click Security tab.
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."
This change that Microsoft implemented is to help prevent viruses and
other bad code being received with attachments.
It is very important to keep your antivirus updated and run it at
least weekly.
