Outlook express 6.0 files missing after start up

Some of my folders in my inbox have gone missing. I did find that this can
happen when outlook is making a back up and got interupted

I followed the instructions and rename the BAK file to a DBX files in the
correct folder. However when I start up Outlook express they are still not
there.... I checked the properties of the file and found *. DBX.BAk so still
a BAK file. Somehow I can not change the extension from BAK to DBX as
described.

Anyone know how to do this ? I really need these files back Thanks
