Outlook Express 5 reinstallation

I had a problem whilst compressing and lost win.com and
other files. When I re-installed everything from back-ups,
Outlook Express 5 will not open any mail messages, just
reporting 'There is an unspecified error while opening
this message' and refuses to allow me to see the contents
of anything. All the dbx files are mapped properly and can
be opened on a different PC, but not on this! Help, I'm a
small business and don't have the money to spend on
support, I thought I'd done everything right with backups
but I can't get to my mail messages. Thanks.

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

Try reinstalling internet explorer, outlook express is
part of the install and should replace all the files...
