Outlook.exe - abnormal program termination - please help!

Hi,

I am using OUtlook 2003 and have to user profiles - one using exchange and
personal folders (pst) file, and other using POP3 that downloads e-mail to
the same PST file.

Recenlty my PST file crashed and i restored the file from backup. Now, my
exchange profile works well (including the ability to see and
copy/move/delete) message to/from the Personal Folders pst file. However, in
the other profile i get the MS Visual C++ Library error "Outlook.exe -
abnormal program termination" that closes Outlook. The most annoying part is
this happens only with this PST file! When i create a new PST file and route
all new messages there - everything work great. But when i route the new
messages to my PST file i get the error message again!
I ran the SCANPST app to check for problems on the PST - did not help.

Please help!

Thanks a lot,

Barak

What is logged to the Event Viewer regarding this?
What is the size of the pst-file?

Event Viewer shows nothing related to this.
PST file size is ~800Mb, and as i said it works at the Exchange profile

Thanks

When Outlook gets terminated in an unexpected way something must be logged
to the Application Log of the Event Viewer.
Since it works with a new pst-file an easy way out would be to create a new
pst-file and move all the items from the existing pst-file to the new one
and drop the old pst-file.
