Outlook email question

How do I stop Outlook 2003 from automatically checking email when first
opening Outlook? Can't figure it out.
 
Tools>options>mail setup> uncheck Send Immediately> then use the Send/receive
button to change the Send/receive options. If you have it check for mail
every xx minutes, it will check when starting, too, so you have to uncheck
that also.

Click Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Send/Receive. Uncheck the automatic
send/receive options.
