outlook doesn't start minimized

I am using Outlook 2003 on two machines, one which runs Win XP Home Edition, the other runs Win XP Professional Edition. On both machines, I have copied the outlook shortcut to the "startup" folder in the start menu, and changed properties to run "minimized". On the Win XP Pro machine, this works fine. But on the Win XP Home machine, outlook does start on windows logon, but it doesn't get minimized

Any solutions

thanks in advance!

Outlook can't start minimized if you closed it the last time in maximized
state.

I'm afraid that's not true, Roady. As I said, on my Windows XP Professional desktop, in whichever way I close Outlook 2003, when I reboot my machine, Outlook starts minimized, thanks to the property in the shortcut in the Startup folder, where i set "Run" to "Minimized". The same simple thing doesn't work on my Win XP Home edition laptop

But thanks for the reply, in any case..

anyone, got a solution??

Trust me, it's true and I had this confirmed as well. Closing Outlook with a
screenstate of Normal or Minimized will allow you to start Outlook minimized
by means of the shortcut property. If you close Outlook with a screenstate
of Maximized the shortcut property to start Outlook minimized doen't have
any effect.

Roady:

Thanks again. Things are becoming more and more bizarre. Now Outlook doesn't on minimized on either of my machines. In fact, now it doesn't seem to matter whether I'm closing Outlook maximized, minimized, or normal -- it never opens minimimized!

Help!!!!!
