Outlook deleting messages once read

Outlook has started deleting messages from the inbox once they've been read.
Mail downloads and is stored normally, can be opened for reading normally,
but once a message has been opened for reading, closing it results in it
disappearing.
It's only recently started, and no settings or options have been changed
that might cause it - it seems to be doing it of it's own accord.
Any ideas how to stop this happening?

Thanks.

Are you sure they're deleted?? I'd check wether you didn't activate a view
filter to show only unread mail... VIEW / CURRENT VIEW / CUSTIMIZE CURRENT
VIEW

Thanks Aligator.

Just realised I'd duplicated this. For some reason I couldn't find the
thread I made yesterday about this, so you've already replied on the other
post too!

Thanks for you help.
