Outlook delays with Hotmail A/Cs

Outlook is configured to retrieve our family’s 4 Hotmail accounts.

Is there any simple way to prevent these accounts from delaying the INITIAL
opening of Outlook?

Many thanks in advance.
 
Not if you have the accounts set to check every xx minutes. Did you disable
the accounts in send and receive settings?
