Hi,

The problem is there is no option to set Outlook as the default mail client.
Uninstalled/reinstalled OL several times and upgraded to OL 2003. However
when you go to control pannel - internet options - programs and choose the
drop down box for E-mail there is no option to choose Outlook and ActiveSync
does not recognise OL is there. Other information - Mozilla is installed,
would this affect it? Could it be something to do with the registry?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts/comments.

What happens when you go into Outlook and set *its* option to make it the
default mail program?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I do not want it to be the default mail client.
Mozilla is set as the default email client and this is how I want it to
remain. What is trying to be achieved is synchronisation with a PDA for
contacts and calendar (which are on Outlook). I know in previous versions of
ActiveSync Outlook needed to be set as the default mail client but in AS 4.1
it does not need this. The problem is that ActiveSync does not even recognise
Outlook is installed on the PC. IE does not either so I'm figuring that if IE
recognises Outlook is installed this will fix the issue where AS does not
recognise it either.

Any ideas?

Many Thanks
