outlook 07 mail merge

I am trying to follow some tutorials to set up a newsletter in outlook 07
that uses a mail merge for the distribution list. All is going well until I
try to set up the mail merge in OL 07.

One instruction says:
Click in the body of the message, and choose Tools -> Letters and Mailings
-> Mail Merge.

another says:
Open the Mail Merge dialog in Outlook via Tools-> Mail Merge…

I have no such option in outlook 07. Am I missing something or just blind???

Open Contacts, select the D/L and then do Tools-Mail Merge

What version of Office are you running?

There are no such instructions. You cannot use a DL for a mail merge.
