I am running Windows XP Pro. I have a problem with Outlook (I have Office Pro
2003. Outlook crashes frequently when I attempt to send/receive. The program
hangs or crashes about 60% of the time. When I experience this crash, IE
directs me to a site to check for updates. There are two updates that need to
be installed. The problem is, I can't install them! During installation, I'm
asked to insert my Office 2003 CD, I do so, then get a message that the
required file can't be found. It is nowhere on the CD. I am at wit's end and
ready to switch to Macintosh. Please help!

I'm having a similar problem, but mine won't even stay opened. And when I
try to re-install, it freezes up the disk. Any help would be appreciated.
Good luck Seattle I'm in Portland.

what particular file is being asked for?
Try creating anew profile via the Mail icon in Control Panel. If that
doesn't help you might try a repair reinstallation. That, however, might
also require your CD and possibly the same file.
