Outlook could not create the work file.

Hi,

I have just upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007 and have a problem with
Outlook.

The programme loads, but twice comes up with the message - Outlook could not
create the work file. Check the temp environment variable.

When I try to delete an email the system hangs and I have to shut down.

Can you advise a solution?

Regards,

Next time; do not multipost but crosspost instead. This way a single
discussion doesn't get split up into multiple ones.

Your temporary internet cache variable is corrupted.

At Start menu, Run enter
regedit

Check this setting: browse to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User
Shell Folders

The Cache variable (in the right pane) should be
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files if
you use Vista or Win7, or in XP, its %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files

Double click on the Cache name to open it and edit.
