Outlook Contacts

I have a word document which contains names and addresses on it that I would like to import to Outlook as contacts. I have converted the the word doc to a text file but only manage to get a new contact for each word on the document. Any idea if I can do this?

You'd need to convert your list of contacts to a comma delimited file so
Outlook knows what information to put in which Contacts fields. Your text
file would have to look something like...

Joe Blow,111 main st,Chicago,Il,[email protected]
Jane Doe,129 E 42nd st,New York,NY,[email protected]

And so on and so forth. Each line in the text file is one Contact and they
all need to be in the same format with the info in the same order. Then you
just tell Outlook what the order equals in the Contacts file. Go to File >
Import and Export, then select to "import from another program or file" then
select to import a comma delimited file (Windows I guess). At some point
after that, you'll get a dialog with a "Map fields" button that will allow
you to define what the comma delimited file items equal in terms of Contacts
fields.
