Outlook Connector: What's the purpose?

I've been a MSN Premium subscriber for a while now and really love it,
but I thought I'd try using Outlook 2003 with Connector since it was
just sitting here.

But what does it do that isn't already done with MSN
Mail/Calendar/Tasks/AddressBook?

Outlook still has no RSS aggregator (I just use MyMSN, which, although
primitive, is free); nor an integrated news reader.

Worse still, Outlook refuses to accept 2 of my 4 Hotmail accounts--when
I try to check these accounts I am told "Outlook Connector is available
only to subscribers. I've never had a problem using MSN Mail.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not meaning to troll here; I'm actually a big
fan of most Microsoft products. I just find it weird that in order to
use Outlook Connector, you need to be a MSN subscriber, but if you are
a MSN subscriber, you don't need Outlook Connector.

What am I missing? Any fellow MSN Premium subscribers out there with an
opinion?
Cheers.

ahhh.... hindsight.

I now realize that Connector would be great if you were on an Exchamge
server at some point during the day.

I'm not.
So are there any benefits to non-Exchange users?

It allows you to specify your Hotmail account as the delivery location, I
believe.

True.

Are those two accounts free ones? If so, that's the reason.

OK

ahhh.... that's it.
Using MSN Premium I can add 10 other accounts thereby making them
appear 'paid-for'. And that's what I did to the one 'free' account that
worked with Connector. The other 2 I haven't added yet.
