Outlook Connector Error Message

Hi

Using Office 2007 Pro, with Windows Vista Home Premium. I have been using
Outlook Connector beta for some time - no issues. Recently discovered this
has been replaced with (presumably) non-Beta version - termed version 4 on
the download page. Downloaded and installed (no instructions about whether
to remove beta version or upgrade in place etc etc!!) and seems to be working
fine except Server Status Detailed report gives:

Outlook Connector Version 12.0.4518.1063

Account: my hotmail (e-mail address removed)

Signed in successfully at 17/09/2007 07:17:19


Mail: Last successfully refreshed at 10:54.

Calendar: Error at 07:17.

Contacts: Last successfully refreshed at 10:54.


Errors :

Error in Calendar
Outlook Connector is available only to subscribers.

Error in Mail
There is an error synchronizing your mail account. Please verify your
account has been configured correctly by first accessing your mail on the web.
Error: 4202.

Error with Send/Receive.
Look for a log in the Sync Issues folder.

I am concerned about last two "errors" - anyone else seen these and what do
they mean - as the earlier log indicates succes?? I can provide Sync Issues
contents if relevant.

When you used the BETA you must remove and recreate your Hotmail account
when you replace it with the released version.
It's in the release notes.

Just:

1)Removed Hotmail account
2) De-installed Connector (now non-beta version of course)
3) Re-booted PC
4) Re-installed Connector
5) at re-start/re-boot as instructed entered Hotmail email address and
password etc.

Again, all seems to be working fine except these error messages still
occuring:

Hi,

This problem will be encountered if you do not have a subscription to
Hotmails premium (paid) version.
All free hotmail user accounts will only synchronize Mails and Contacts.
Calendar synchronization is not available (unless you are a premium user)
and therefore you see this error during synchronization.

Understand this point. My concern was with the error messages relating to
mail synchronisation.

Oh Sorry for not paying due attention there :)
if i remember correctly I had the same issue a little while ago when I
had my machine refreshed and re-setup Outlook connector.
though I can't recall right now how it got fixed... but it sort of
sorted itself out

My OC w/ Hotmail was working great with Outlook 2003 until last week (Sep 18
07). Now I'm getting a similar error to yours: "Error in Mail--There is an
error synchronizing your mail account. Please verify your account has been
configured correctly by first accessing your mail on the web.
Error: 4350". Note the diffeent error number. I have reinstalled
everything (except Outlook) in a effort to get this service back on line. I
have had no success. The log file is on no help. Let me know if you find
anything out.

I use outlook connector across several sites and all had been working well
until a few weeks a go. Now it won't connect to email. I have deleted
accounts, reinstalled etc etc all to no avail.

have you solved this issue yet? i'm suffering from the same problem!! if you
have a resolution, please send it to me at gmail. i'll be damned i have to
surf t read my mail
and yet i can just pop my other email accounts.

This was how i fixed my problem.

Repaired Outlook Connector by means of installing and clicking on repair
instead of removing.

In Tools - Account Settings

Create a new account put your details in using the outlook connector option.

Once completed Press Send/Receive.

If this works then go back to your accounts then delete the old account that
you had problems with.

This should solve the problem hopefully.

If anyone wants to add more information to this then please do.

Error: 4350; refers to your junk filter, which has a corrupt address. Here's
what I did.
Go into the junk filter and delete the Safe(Senders & Recipients) and
Blocked Senders; Restart OL and all should be fine.....It worked for me!
You can use the Trial & Error approach by deleting the AD's until you find
the right one......Either way will work.
