outlook connectivity to exchange

I have installed a number of OUtlook workstations
by pointing them to the exchange server via IP address.
In one case, I get a message that I don't have connec
tivity to the exchange server.
All DNS entries look good, I can ping the exchange server,
I can access the internet.
What else should I be looking for to establish
connectivity.
I have re-installed office 2003 with no change.
 
What version of Exchange are you running against? If Exchange 2003, are you
trying to get RPC over HTTPs working?
