Hi there
We have some software that takes a digital hash of a file. The user can then
send the file and hash to the recipient. the recipient can then use our
software to validate the document by re hashing the document and comparing
the two hashes.
This works with almost every file type, apart from any office document. When
an office file arrives as an email attachment, it is 2 or 3k larger than when
it left the sender. This obviously has huge implications to our software.
What does Outlook 2003 do to office files when they are sent via email? Is
there any way to prevent outlook 2003 from doing this?
many thanks
