Hello

I have Office 2003 Professional Edition and use Outlook 2003 as the email
client.

I cannot see News button in the Go in Menu bar. Nor could I see it in the
Commands tab of the Customize window from the Standard Menu bar. I prefer
to use Newsgroups from the Outlook 2003. Any suggestions. Thank you.

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

Hello RV

Thank you for your reply. In the Programs tab of the Internet Options in
the Control Panel there is only Outlook Express and no Outlook. Still can't
get the News in Outlook. Thank you.

That's because Outlook doesn't have a newsreader, it's actually using OE's
newsreader when you add it to GO in Outlook.

Then you need to open Outlook Express and make sure it is NOT set to be your
default news handler within the application itself. (I know. It makes no
sense. It doesn't have to. This is Microsoft).

Hello Russ

I've sorted the issue finally. I can get News under Go in the Menu Bar by
dragging and dropping. Also created News button on the Standard Bar by
dragging and dropping. OE is no longer the default mail client although I
can use it whenever I want to. And I think the Microsoft is great when it
works ..... lol. Thanks for your help.
