how do I preview office 2003 documents in outlook 2007?

I need to be able to preview office 2003 documents in outlook 2007 as I am
not in the position to upgrade the whole office suite. I am hoping however
to install exchange 2007 but need outlook 2007 to be able to preview office
2003 documents or I am taking away functionality from our users.

What happens when you try? what preview capability do they have now?
Outlook 2007 has the same preview capability that outlook 2003 has.

if you want preview pane preview of docs, you need office 2007.
