For the life of my I can't get Outlook to send mail. It will receive it.
Outlook Express will SEND and RECEIVE email even though I have designated
Outlook as my "default" email program. I set up Outlook as an pop. and smtp.
account -- the same as OE.

Please adivse!!

Thanks.

Me, again. I receive NO error messages and Outlook doesn't tell me a thing.
I just know it doesn't send emails because I've asked the intended recipiens
to tell me if they've received the emails AND I send one to myself and it
never gets to OE OR Outlook.

are you authenticating with the server?

outlook should have a send/receive error on a failure (tools,
send/receive... show progress dialog) - if there is none, find and delete
the *.srs file for the profile. It's in My Documents and Settings under one
of the hidden Microsoft\Outlook folders. If that fails, try detect and
repair.

Does the message leave the Outbox?
