Outlook Can't send large files

I'm trying to send large files on my outlook for my hotmail account. It
seems if I try to send anything larger than 1M outlook works very slowly and
sometimes locks up. Any ideas?

Mail servers establish their own limits on attachment sizes. Exchange allows
for a large range of sizes but most "public" mail systems like Hotmail are
quite limited in their attachment size. Gmail is fairly liberal but still
has an upper limit to the size of attachments.
