Outlook cannot use Word to edit emails

Using XP professional. When I start a new message in
outlook it says that outlook cannot use word to edit
email because word is either busy or not present. Office
xp is loded and word works fine by itself. Does anyone
have any suggestions other reloading office?

The version of Outlook and the version of Word must match. Are you using
both Outlook 2002 and Word 2002 (i.e., strictly Office XP)?
