Outlook calender sync problem

Dear all,

We are using Outlook 2003 SP2, lately applied the Outlook patch KB945432. Then newly created calender object would have sync problem.
We get sync log as follow.

17:34:05 Error synchronizing message 'calender item'
17:34:05 [80070005-508-80070005-323]
17:34:05 You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. See the folder contact or your system administrator.

- When calender item deleted, sync don't have any problem. Just add/update would have problem.

- When we change to online mode, add/update calender item, no problem at all.

- uninstall the Outlook patch KB945432, everything back to normal.

Any idea, buddy.

Thanks!!

Do you have this issue on 1 machine and/or mailbox only or can you reproduce
this behavior on multiple machines with different mailboxes?

When you say that when you change to "online mode", do you mean that you
disable Cached Exchange Mode or are toggling on/off Work Offline?

Hi Robert,

We get this issue on our all our xp workstations, because our company build are standardized.

Yes, Online mode is Cached Exchange mode disabled.

We already try start Outlook in safe mode, but still no luck.

Any body get this issue too?

Just find that, without apply this patch(KB945432), just upgrade to office sp3, same issue would happen too.

Guess Microsoft have updated Outlook's behaviour in one(or may be more) of the patch.

I found this issue happen when office sp3 is applied as well.
(I uninstall the KB945432 patch before apply office sp3.)

So I guess office sp3 include something that change the Outlook behaviour already.
