Outlook breaks e-mail body text into multiple attachments

Our company uses MS Office 2003. A few of our users are complaining that
when they send e-mail (typically mail that was received, replied-to,
received again, etc.), Outlook breaks the e-mail body into multiple
attachments, This is seen as multiple icons by the e-mail recipient. I've
reviewed this newsgroup and have seen some reference to the problem, but no
definitive answer. I suspect there may be a configuration option that could
impact this, but I've yet to find it. All users are configured to compose
in HTML using Outlook (not Word) for editing. (Although I've tried using
Word, it didn't affect this problem.)

Thanks in advance for any help you may provide...

Regards - Steve

This is to do with the way people have their options set up, look at
Tools>Options>Preferences>Email Options and look under 'On replies and
Forwards' - these need to be set as 'Include original message as text' -
sounds like they have it set as 'Attach original message'.
Hope this helps?!

Thanks for your reply, Jess. I checked with my users and found they already
had Outlook set to "Include original e-mail as text". So, unfortunately
that did not fix the problem. Good try, though as I hadn't checked this
option. Any other thoughts?

Hi Jess,

Thanks for your reply. I checked with my users. They indicate that their
Outlook clients were already set to, 'Include original message as text'.
Any other thoughts?

Thanks - Steve
