outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments

Steve

I am extremely frustrated by the inability of my friends
to send me Level 1 ("Unsafe")attachments, such as URL's,
Access databases and such without having to tell them
they need to zip the file or change the file name
extension.

How can I fix this problem?

I'm using Outlook 2002 with no service packs updated.

Thanks

Thanks, Greg. I managed to find the page in the Microsoft
Knowledgebase that deals with this problem and edited my
registry by hand. In case anyone wants to see it, it's at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;290497

I understand that some of the files included in
the "security" fix can be malicious, but making it so
difficult to allow them is unbelievable.

I'll keep the site you recommended on file.

Thanks

Steve
