Outlook Autoarchive

I'm confused about the autoarchive functionality.
When i autoarchive, I can see that the files in the address specified have
been updated. Presumably that means that the data may be imported in case
that should be necessary.
I see the AA folders, but they do not contain recently arcived items.
Old items are not deleted from the AA folders.
Can somebody explain, thanx?

Auto Archive removes msgs from your default data file to an Archive data
file, based on their modified date.
If you move a msg the modified date is reset to move date

You can set age of msgs to be archived, you can ammend location of the
archive and you can if you wish select msgs to be deleted as apposed to
moved to the archive file.
Msgs are not deleted from Archive unless you either manually delete them or
set a seperate archive process to delete msgs older than xx.
Different folders can have there own Archive settings.

The archive is simply a data file so you can have it open within OL and as
such copy msgs between the two data files manually.
