Outlook attachment cannot saved

Hi All,

I have office 2007, and Exchange 2003 server. When I get a mail with
attachment, (etc: xlsx,png) I cannot open the attachment. When I would like
to open the attachment it isn't appear, and I see that in the content.outlook
folder the attachment size is 0. If I save it the size is 0 as well. I get
this error message:

Excel cannot open the xyz.xlsx because the file format or file extension is
not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file
extension matches the format of the file.

Someone can help me?

We found the problem. It was the Symantec Endpoint Protection.

May I know how did you solve the problem? Because I also faced the same
problem. Cannot open and save attachment from Microsoft Outlook. I also
installed Symantec Endpoint Protection. Thank you.

Hi Kathy,

In Symantec Endpoint Protection->Antivirus and Antispyware Protection Settings
->Outlook Auto-Protect tab we had to change back to 'All types' from
'Selected'.

I already checked the setting in Symantec Endpoint Protection->Antivirus and
Antispyware Protection Settings->Outlook Auto-Protect, by default already set
to "All Types". Is it still have other setting need to change?
