Outlook assigned domain password

Hi,

running outlook 2003 on a new Sony Viao with XP SP2, signing into a win2003
AD domain.

the person using swears they did not assign a password to their PST file,
i'm beleiving this as they can barely sign in without my help, but the PST
file now has their domain password as the password for their pst file which
is stored on a network drive.

Is this common, i have about 30 users with outlook 2003 on this network, its
going to be painful if this happens more than once.

Also the PST file is now completely empty.

Help

Thanks

Do not store PST files on network drives. It's unsupported and will
invariably lead to problems.
As to what happened - do you have backups?
If you have that many users, look into Exchange server, and don't use PST
files.
