Outlook as default email handler

I am trying to set up Outlook 2000 to Hot Sync to a Palm 500 and when
I try to set it up on the install the Palm software tells me that
Outlook is not my default mail handler. I use Outlook Express for
Email. I did not have this problem before I had to wipeout my
harddrive and I was using the same setup.

How do I make Outlook my default mail reader temporarily and can I
change it back to Outlook Express after I am done and still be able to
Sync?

You can't do this. Office's Outlook and Windows' Outlook Express are not the
same kind of programs and you can't synchronize OE. You must use Outlook as
the email handler.
