Outlook and ActiveSync

can someone tell me what the name of the in and out servers are when setting
up the mail identity in Outlook Express? i am using a non-networked laptop
and trying to sync with a smartphone....i am using aol as my ISP. i just
cannot find anything that tells me what my incoming and outgoing servers
names are.

Have you contacted AOL... that would be your safest route. There may be
different servers, depending on your location/use.

The names of the servers are those that your ISP provides you. Telling you
the names of my ISP's mail servers wouldn't do you any good, because your
ISP would recognize them. If you are using AOL call them and ask, or look on
their web site.

Well Dan as you mentioned that you are using a non-networked laptop, then just
enter anything as the in and out servers. Outlook wont be able to access these
servers anway. Just tell outlook not to ry and access the servers looking
for mail.
That way you can just ync your phone.
