Outlook Alert Problem

I have rules set up so incoming e-mail is directed to various folders. Since
upgrading to Office 2003, I no longer receive an e-mail alert when new mail
arrives. In the previous version of Outlook, I would hear a sound and see the
envelope at the bottom of the screen. Is it possible for Outlook to give an
alert for all new mail regardless of whether it arrives in the inbox or
another folder?

At the prompting of customers, Outlook changes alert behavior so that alerts
occur only for messages remaining in the Inbox after rule execution is
complete. If you want alerts for messages moved by rules, add the alert
action to the rules.
