New Mail Alerts

When new items arrive in my Outlook inbox, I would like Outlook to Play a
Sound and Display a New Mail Desktop Alert. I was able to locate the options
for this under Tools and Email Options, but it indicated that it could only
do this for the default Inbox. I do not use the default inbox because I have
my Hotmail account synchronized with Outlook. The inbox I use is a secondary
inbox and apparently is not viewed as the default inbox. My question is, how
do I make my Hotmail inbox thru Outlook the default inbox? Or at the very
least, how can I get Outlook to alert me whenever new mail arrives to my
Hotmail account?

You will need to install the Outlook Connector and set your Hotmail account
to the default.
