outlook advanced option custom action

I saw 2006 post about Outlook - Rules - Advanced Options - Custom Action that
indicated it probably was not an easy task to use this (I assume the same for
Scripts). Has it become any easier?

We have an information management program where our emails are logged and
saved. There is a button in our Outlooks to save to that program. There is
also an automatic option when creating an email to save to that program. We
would like to know if a rule can be setup to automatically save incoming
emails to that program. Any thoughts or direction?

Likely it depends on what 'saving to that program' means. Maybe you can use
a Run-a-Script-Rule, which starts a VBA script that you can write yourself.
