I went in to delete one member from a 'group' email and it deleted the entire
group. I clicked on the address I needed to delete and clicked the X. It
did not give me a option and whole group was deleted. HELP!

Firstly did you do this in the Contacts folder or in the Addressbook view of
the contacts folder?
Secondly, looked in Deleted Items recently?

The address book view of the contact folder -

Well that's not the place to make changes to your contacts so anything could
have happened. ALWAYS make changes to Contacts in the Contacts folder and
NOT the Addressbook view.

Are you absolutely positive it's not in Deleted Items? If not then have you
a recent backup?

The address book view of the contact folder - and no it's not in my deleted
items.

There is no way to delete a member of a Distribution List from the Address
Book view. You can open the DL contact record form the Address Book view, but
you're still changing a contact record in the Contacts folder. If you press
the X icon on the toolbar, it WILL go to your Deleted Items folder. Sort the
Deleted Items folder by icon and you may be able to find it more easily.
