Outlook acts strange when opening word

Hi -

we recently installed office 2003 on our computers in the Dutch office.
When some of the users have their outlook open and try to open word - there
is an errormessage from outlook.

Goes like this (sorry if it is not correct - trying to translate from dutch


Unable to start Outlook. An error occured. Close Outlook and Microsoft
Windows and start both up again.

I have never seen this message before.

Can anyone help?

Is there any information listed in the event viewer under Applications?

Look under Applications, look for the event id number, source, and message.
That should help determine the problem.

Hi,

need to wait until tomorrow. The user is not in today.
I will clear the eventlog, cause all the stuff that is in there
from the day it went wrong - I cannot see which one of them
is the right, cause none of them says exactly like the errormessage on screen.

Hi,

ok I checked the event log for application, but nothing comes up
when the error pops up.
I cleared all log files and the only one left when the error occured
is that I connected remotely to the desktop.
So there is no much help there. I was wondering if a reinstall
could do it.
