Im having a problem with Outlook 97 Freezing on PC's that are using Exchange
2003
I did a migration from 5.5 to 2003. Is there any solution other upgrading to
office 2003 and outlook 2003 ? If I just upgrade to outlok 2003 then I have
incompatable problems with office 97

please help

Could you explain the issues you are encountering a bit more? What have you
tried already in troubleshooting? Recreated the mail profile already? What
is your exact version of OL97?

You've got a very big gap between the versions of Outlook and Exchange. Also
looking at Outlook 97 and Outlook 2003 it's hard to believe that these are
the same applications; the development is way more then simple evolution. I
would advise you to reconsider deploying Outlook 2003 with its benefits (as
you are entitled to with your Exchange 2003 licenses) and "live around" the
incompatibility issues with Office 97. What type of incompatibility issues
are the most important to you and how many people are effected with it on
daily basis?

Okay, maybe it will work, but according to this web page it is "Not Supported"

I think Exchange 2003 requires Outlook 2000 or higher clients.

Yes, but that is mainly because of Outlook 97 itself not being supported
anymore. Supported and compatible are two different things.
