Customer is upgrading from 5.5 to 2003, using NT workstations with Outlook
97. (Risk identified and customer accepts the risk). Will we have to
manually update the Outlook profile? Will we have to deploy the DSAccess
agent to the NT workstation? Any known issues with Outlook 97/Exchange 2003?
Thanks in advance.

How is the upgrade being performed? For example, is the Exchange 2003
server joining the Exchange 5.5 site? If yes, then there is nothing to
worry about in the client's profile as it will get the new home mdb server
when it launches.

I've ran Outlook 98/2003 and the old Exchange client against Exchange 2003
w/out issues. Never tried Outlook 97, but I would say it should work since
the Exchange 5.0 client works. It is after all, just MAPI.

In addition to Neo's reply, note that OL97 won't understand HTML mail. Since
you're getting Exchange 2003, you may well also get a license to install &
run OL2003 on all workstations (check & see). Just remember that mail merge,
wordmail, etc., won't work if the Office application versions aren't
identical.
