Outlook 587 server port

There seems to have been a change in the setting for my outgoing server
(SMPT). It is now 587. Each time I log onto Outlook I need to go in and
change the setting in order to send mail. I receive mail just fine. What
step am I missing to maintain this setting and now have it revert to 10 or
110 (can't remember which) each time I log on? Thanks!

Are you sure you're changing the right port? Outgoing server (SMTP) ports
typically default to 25, so the port you want to change should have started
as 25 on the Advanced tab of the account details.

Do you have anything scanning outgoing mail? 587 is a typical outgoing mail
server port.
