Outlook 2K not able to get email properly

My OS is XP Pro and the outlook version is 2k. The current configuration is
thru the Exchange server 2k. I am not able to get new incoming emails until I
click the old emails sitting in my inbox. My outlook will start getting all
the new emails at once after I click the old emails. How to fix this problem?
It is so weird.

No, it's normal if you have a firewall enabled. Disable your XP firewall and
see if that helps (or disable any other software firewall you're using).
