Outlook 2007: Word attachment preview and linked images

Hello,

By default active content (e.g. external images) are not being downloaded
when using preview attachment pane.

Is it possible to add a specific domain to a trusted zone, so that images
from this domain would be downloaded and shown?

Thanks a lot for any help!
Regards,
Bartek

Yes, adding the domain of the message sender should allow the messages to
download and display, provided they are embedded and not attached.

Thank you Brian.

But I'm not sure if we are discussing the same issue. I do not mean images
embedded into the message. I mean images embedded into the MS Word attachment.

I am using the Microsoft Word Viewer inside the attachement preview window
and no external images (downloaded from our web server) are visible.

Adding the sender domain didn't seem to help.

Is there any way to show external images within attached MS Word document in
the attachment preview pane?

Best Regards,

If it's an external image that is not embedded in the Word document, I just
don't see how it's possible.

Brian,

Is it possible to report such a feature request? Where can we do it?

I understand, that such images are blocked for security reasons, but if I
trust a particular domain I think it would be nice to add it to a trusted
zone and allow MS Word Previewer to download it?

Best regards,
Bartek

By contacting Microsoft, you can make suggestions. Posting in this newsgroup
doesn't constitute contacting Microsoft. It's rare that someone working for
Microsoft visits.
