Outlook 2007/Vista stripping attachments when sending

i have a user who is complaining that outlook 2007 on his vista home premium
laptop is randomly stripping off attachments he sends. i have not seen it in
person, but have received emails supposedly containing a pdf attachment which
was missing. i am told that if the user moves to another system and resends,
the attachment is not stripped. user is running norton 360 and spysweeper. i
did not see anything set in those programs which would remove outgoing
attachments. anybody have any ideas?

Why does he believe Outlook is stripping attachments? If he sends a Rich
Text message with attachments to a person who doesn't use Outlook, that
person won't be able to see the attachment. Your user should make sure he's
using HTML or Plain Text formatting.
