Outlook 2007 spelling not working

Hi,

I'm using Outlook 2007 and the spell check stopped working. It no longer
underlines mis-spelt words and when I click the button to check the
spelling, it tells me that there are no spelling mistakes when there clearly
are.

Spell check works fine in Word 2007, it's only when composing & replying to
email in Outlook 2007.

Any ideas on getting this working again are appreciated.

Are you typing in the signature field? Right click on the text that isn't
getting spellchecked and see if the signature menu comes up.

Thanks Diane, that was it.
I added the greeting to the signature, which resulted in typing the message
in the signature field.

This also explains why outlook would "delete" the composed email when I
switched the sending account!

why are you asking these questions, it is obviously a problem with EVERYONE
who has loaded Office 2007. Not sure what MVP - Outlook means but you
obviously dont know how to fix the problem or do any of the otheres with MVP
in their title. This is very frustrating

Dear Diane, I just installed Outlook 2007 and have this same problem, but am
not in the signature field, at least I don't think so. Do you have any other
options you can suggest?

And when you right-clicked as Diane suggested, did you see the context menu
for signatures or not?
