Outlook 2007 shuts down when attaching a photo

When i attach a photo or insert a photo in an email, outlook "stops working"
and shuts down

In addition to what Ben has suggested, my question is are you on a network
and trying to browse mapped drives to find the photo?

In addition, are there any error messages? Have you checked your application
event viewer for any Office or Outlook related errors?
