Outlook 2007 Rules

I just loaded Office 2007 to upgrade from office 2003. my rules in Outlook no
longer work. when a rule is is being applied i get an error response 'cannot
move to the specific folder"

what i have noticed is the .pst seems to be the issue. The office outlook
personal folders file (.pst) is the one failng. if i have personal folder set
up using Outlook 97-2002 personal folders the rule will work but my email
gets erased and when i look at it is blank.

I use an exchange server through my company

Can anyone help with this problem it is driving me over the edge

Open each rule referencing a folder, reselect the folder, then save the rule
again.

I have deleted all the rules and completely started over and still get the
same problem. Can you tell me why it works in the 97 -2002 .pst file and not
the other and why my email is erased in transfer from inbox to 97-2002.pst
file. any other suggestions would be appreciated

Start with a new mail profile and a new PST, then create your rules.

If you are receiving Unicode messages, you will have problems storing them
in an ANSI (OL 97-2002 format) PST.

Thanks for the update that is probaby why the email kessages are wiped clean.
i still can't figure out why rule won't work. i have uninstallled and
reinstalled office. deleted and added all the rules again and even combined
all my .pst files to one.... i guess it just doesn't like me

I gave up on filing in a personal folder i just set up new folders in
exchange Inbox and all is well. i will just have to move to my personal
folder manually......thanks for help and have a happy holiday

It's a new .pst file (new ms office format) with new rules created with outlook 2007... If i use 'Run rules now' it works great but in automatic i get the 'cannot move to 'specified' folder' error message...

As I'm using an exchange server where there is space restrictions i really need to move my mail in my .pst

Help would be really appreciate...
