Outlook 2007 rules not working AND URL sent to find an answer does

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE MESSAGE THE STANDARD ANSWER DOES NOT WORK.

I have two issues, sorry as they may not be related.

First, I'm using Outlook 2007, independently, not on a server, under Vista
Ultimate, and I'm also using Norton 360. I have upgraded my rules to outlook
2007, so everything "should" be up to date.

My problem is that the "account" rule does not work. There is a "fix" by
Microsoft, which tells me to delete and re-create the rule, which I have done
multiple times with no positive results. Same thing happens. I have 7 pop
accounts (all under EarthLink) and I've been using them to sort into certain
folders. This worked until about three weeks ago, when all the sudden these
rules stopped. Other rules seem to work, and when I use a rule to move an
E-mail from a specific person, that works. I've uninstalled and re-installed
office and that doesn't solve the problem.\

My other problem is that when there is an answer to my questions, and I am
notified by E-mail that there is an answer the URL, nor the backup URL work.
I can let them run all day, with no results. If I want to see the answers, I
have to come back and hunt and peck until I find my questions. If it's
possible to send the ANSWER to my E-mail, that would save me time and
frustration.

Thanks for whatever any of you can do.

Syed,

It did not work, possibly once I got into some of the further steps in your
application (MfcMapi.exe) my screens were different than your directions
mentioned.

Please remember I am using outlook as a STAND ALONE application, I'm not
attached to an exchange server, or any other type of server. If I could send
you graphics, I'd take screen shots, but let's see if I can explain.

Wehn I get to step 5e I don't have a "top of information store.". I do have
a Top of Personal Folders. I also don't have the IPM_Subtree alterate that
your information mentions. I did expand the "Top off Personal Folders" and
tried to follow your directions, and did find the inbos, but when I tried to
delete I received the following error message.

Error:
Code: MAPI_E_UNKNOWN_FLAGS == 0x80040106
Function lpParentFolder->DeleteFolder( lpItemEID->cb, (LPENTRYID)
lpItemEID->lpb, lpProgress ? (ULONG_PTR)m_hWnd : NULL, lpProgress, ulFlags)
File f:\df7830\extest\src\mfcmapi\msgstoredlg.cpp
Line 1024

Any other ideas?

Alternately, is there any way that I can ENTIRELY remove outlook and start
over again. I know how to save the PST file, and re-associate it, and this
may be the easiest way to solve this, even though it would take some work to
re-do the accounts etc.

THANK YOU I appreciate your help.

Syed, I sent you the following note, and never did receive an answser, and
still am having the same problem. Could you please address this, or
alternately, let me know how to COMPLETELY remove outlook and everything that
accompanies it, and re-installit as new.

thanks.

Here's the second E-mail I sent to you.
